Interning for CfJJ
Internships (unpaid, except for Northeastern University work-study students) are often available for both undergraduates and law school students and can range from as much as full-time work for two or three months (e.g., during the summer or a coop quarter) to as little as four or five hours per week for a semester.
While intern projects vary widely, depending on the intern's skills, interests and time commitment, they almost all include research, writing, and editing, as well as some administrative support (e.g., for database maintenance, events, board meetings). We freely include interns in our meetings in and out of the office. In addition, we try to give our interns an opportunity to learn about the juvenile justice system first-hand by, for example, attending a session of juvenile court or visiting some of the juvenile facilities operated by DYS and its providers.
To apply, please send us a letter of interest and your resume. cfjj@cfjj.org
